We've continue to be impressed with the performance of ProSoft Inserts
as a vibration-dampening aide. Many of our custom club orders come to
us with the request to help reduce the "shock" to the hands, wrists and
elbows of our customers.
"So what?" you say. Well, here is
the piece you should know. The profit potential tied to this little
piece of extruded foam can be HUGE. We have Golf Shop customers who
charge $5.00 to install one insert when they regrip a club, and they
simply offer vibration dampening to every customer who comes in for a
reshaft. With the retail cost of the inserts at $0.25 each, that's a
profit of $4.75 per club!
Now for even better news. These simple little inserts really do the trick.
They provide the following benefits to the golfer:
* reduce shock vibrations up the shaft
* they weigh nothing so they do not impact static weight
* they have NO impact on swingweight
* they are an inexpensive luxury
The most inexpensive way to purchase the inserts is by the gross ...
144 at a time. Currently priced at $30.00, this brings down the
individual insert cost to $0.21 each. We have golf shops buying 200 or
more inserts a month from us, which means they are making $950 a month
on these inserts alone. That pays the rent for most of us!
If you buy the Professional Kit,
you get 144 inserts AND the tool for $42.00. That's a savings of $11.95
if you bought everything individually (at $.25 per insert and $16.95
for the tool).
