The 9g Tungsten Tip Weight can be very useful if you are trying to add weight to a graphite shafted club - wood or iron - but that pesky weight can be a bear to install because there is no vent hole in the middle.
Three things to consider when installing these weights that might help.
1) Drill out the shaft tip so that the weight fits a little loose. Remove just enough material to make this fit so there is a little air space around the stem of the weight, and only go far enough to be the same depth as the tip weight pin.
2) Install the tip pin into the hosel before you add epoxy or put the shaft in. This will let the tip pin get all the way to the bottom of the hosel, and epoxy will run down there during installation enough to keep the weight from rattling.
3) Sand the tip of the shaft at an angle from the edge to the hole in the middle. This gives the air one more avenue for escape.
Now when you slide the shaft in the hosel and over the tip pin, it will have less of a tendency to be pushed back out the hosel due to the air pressure build up with air trapped in the hosel during assembly.
